[Infographic] The Evolution of Web Design
I got my first website in 2002 (I think). My first blog in 2003 – I was blogging on a network called Xanga. Then, in 2004 I moved to Typepad and then later to WordPress.
Some of you have had websites longer then me I’m sure. Can you believe that the first published website dates back to the early 90’s? It was published by Tim Berners-Lee in 1991.
Funny when you look at how far things have come along since then and look at some of the amazing things you can do on platforms like WordPress… Which all sort of brings me to today’s post. It’s an infographic from the great folks at KISSmetrics on the Evolution of Webdesign (originally published on their blog here).
Do you remember when you first published your website? What did it look like? How far has it come along since then? I’m reminded of Jay Thompson who’s gone through many design iterations since he first started blogging in 2005…
